Charles River Laboratories is recruiting a Senior Internal Controls Analyst for our Finance Shared Service group. The role is full-time, permanent, and remote. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin (verbal and written) and will work with the APAC region.
Job Responsibilities- Facilitate SOX compliance assessments for CRL initiatives, determining impact on the current control environment (business processes, individuals and applications).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand existing and future processes and controls, providing recommendations for modifications to ensure ongoing compliance with SOX and established internal control frameworks.
- Train and support control and process owners in understanding their responsibilities and executing control activities effectively, and where applicable, recommend enhancements to improve control effectiveness and efficiency.
- Document transactional processes utilizing Microsoft Visio, Word and Excel, and partner with management in identifying and implementing process and control improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the Company’s business process controls.
- Participate in internal and external audits; perform pre-audit testing, coordinate control walkthroughs and testing, assist with control evidence and remediation where applicable.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in accounting or a related discipline.
- Fluent in Mandarin – both verbal and written.
- Direct experience in accounting in either industry or practice with financial internal controls experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deliverables and stakeholders.
- Experience using a risk management software (beneficial).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Visio to prepare flow charts of processes (beneficial).
- Knowledge of finance system, accounting transformation and accounting data solutions (beneficial).
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits.
