Responsibilities & RoleThe Gouldings Resource Centre in Freshwater is looking for Casual Support Workers. A scenic 20‑minute journey from Newport and directly on a main bus route, we are looking to recruit team members to deliver outstanding Reablement support alongside crisis and respite care to the 23 people who use our services.
You will work directly with the people staying at the home to identify and achieve their own goals and help them on their journey to independence. The role is rewarding, dynamic and versatile and, as a casual Support Worker, you will be able to choose shifts to meet your needs. You will be working with individuals and other colleagues ensuring the service we offer is effective to meet people's needs in a "do with" way rather than a "do for" approach.
We will provide you with unrivalled support through supervision and a fantastic learning and development offer.
Qualifications & SupportWe prefer a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, but if you do not hold this qualification we will help you achieve it. A good knowledge of literacy and numeracy is essential; we can also support you in developing these skills.

About Disability Confident: A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. It is important to note that during high‑volume, seasonal and high‑peak recruitment times, the employer may wish to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled and non‑disabled people.
