Deputy Manager – Residential Services
Location:
Barry, Vale of Glamorgan
Hours:
40 hours per week
Salary: £32k per annum
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join the team, working across two residential services located close to one another in Barry. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within residential and respite settings.

Your responsibilities will include:
Working alongside the Service Manager and staff teams to maintain high-quality support tailored to individual needs
Leading, coaching, and mentoring support workers to promote best practice
Supporting individuals on a 1:1 basis to promote wellbeing, independence, and meaningful daily living
Participating in an on-call rota
Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within residential and respite environments
Managing situations where behaviours may occasionally be challenging, while maintaining a positive and supportive approach
No two days are the same, making this an incredibly rewarding leadership opportunity.
About You:
QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, with willingness to work towards Level 4
Experience using electronic systems and Microsoft Office programmes
Strong communication and organisational skills
A trustworthy, reliable, and professional approach
The ability to motivate, inspire, and develop others
A compassionate, people-focused mindset
A commitment to equality, empowerment, and removing barriers for both individuals supported and staff
A full driving licence is essential, as the role involves working across two services located close together.
