An opportunity is available for a Deputy Manager to join a leading organisation specialising in residential care and support services for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The Deputy Manager will work across multiple service sites, providing high-quality leadership within a person-centred, safeguarding-compliant environment. This role emphasises supporting positive well-being and independence for individuals, while maintaining operational excellence and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the service manager and staff to uphold the organisation's high standards of support and care.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of support workers, promoting best practices in health and social care.
- Support individuals through 1-1 tailored approaches for promoting independence and overall well-being.
- Participate in an on-call rota to ensure continuous support and oversight.
- Work within residential and respite settings, handling complex needs and behaviours in a supportive, safe manner.
- Contribute to safeguarding protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and policies.
- Utilise electronic systems and Microsoft Office programmes to support operational activities.
- Holds a QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with a commitment to achieving Level 4.
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in residential or respite settings.
- Possesses strong communication skills, reliability, and trustworthy character.
- Be adaptable and proactive with a positive outlook that encourages growth within the team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice sharing.
- A driver's licence is essential for travelling between service sites.
- Competitive salary of £32,136.
