Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager in a residential care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This Deputy Manager role in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, offers a rewarding environment where no two days are the same. • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care.
• Support individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs to promote independence and well-being.
• Work alongside the service manager to maintain high standards of support and service delivery.
• Participate in an on-call system to ensure continuous support.
• Support the implementation of person-centred care plans and promote positive behaviour strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

• QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards QCF Level 4.
• Experience working within residential or respite settings supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Proficiency with electronic systems and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with team members and service users.
• Positive, compassionate, and people-centric approach to care.
• Ability to motivate and support a team, fostering a positive working environment.
• Driver essential, as the role involves working across two services.
