VOG1151 Personal Assistant

I am a 56-year-old man living in the Barry area, I am an easy going person living independently with support daily I enjoy making Lego models in my home.

I have had a diagnosis of autism which can sometimes cause me to become anxious which can result in me talking fast at times. I am also hard of hearing and wear hearing aids but sometimes they can irritate me and take them out. Routine is beneficial for me.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To support and assist out in the community.

PLACE OF WORK

In the local community and to help organise in the house.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours a week

RATE OF PAY

£15.25 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Support with shopping.

Assist with going out and attending activities in the community.

Help to meet new people.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Chatty and friendly

Someone who is patience and allows me to take my time with things.

A person who is happy to go on public transport.

Someone who is reliable and punctual.

To liaison with my mum if needed.

ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
