We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected independent team in the Barry area
. - Excellent Earnings: £30,000 – £40,000 per year basic (depending on experience) with an earning potential of up to £41,000 including our high-yielding bonus scheme.
- Guaranteed Weekends Off:
Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
—stable weekday hours with strictly no weekend shifts or Saturday morning rotas. - Premium Overtime: Any extra weekday hours worked beyond your standard shift are paid at an enhanced rate of time and a half (x1.5).

Working as a core member of our Barry technical team, you will:
- Carry out routine servicing, safety maintenance, and mechanical repairs across a diverse range of makes and models.
- Use modern diagnostic tools and workshop systems to efficiently track down, identify, and resolve complex technical faults.
- Maintain strict quality and safety procedures to ensure high-quality, safe "first-time fix" results.
- Work productively to complete repairs accurately, maximizing your own bonus potential while maintaining a smooth workshop flow.
- Take part in fully funded, ongoing technical training to stay at the absolute forefront of automotive technology.
- The Credentials: Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent automotive qualification).
- The
Experience:
A proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician
, Car Mechanic
, or Service Technician. Independent specialist experience is highly valued. - The Basics: A full UK manual driving licence is essential (with a maximum of 6 points), along with your own hand tools.
- The Mindset: Strong attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, and a reliable, proactive work ethic.
