Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
The Consulting Project Manager will take a highly hands-on role in driving and delivering projects across the hotel. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating directly with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, and ensuring that all project work is executed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
The role involves working closely with department heads and operational teams—such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance—to implement operational improvements, test new processes, provide training, and ensure smooth transition of projects into live operations. The Project Manager will step in as needed to resolve operational challenges arising from project activities.
The Project Manager will act as the primary on-site liaison between hotel management and suppliers, chairing regular project meetings and progress reviews. They will actively manage supplier performance, ensure quality standards are maintained, and monitor compliance with health and safety requirements.
All project activity will be delivered with a strong focus on guest experience, proactively managing any noise, access, or service impacts in a live hotel environment. Immediate guest-facing issues must be addressed in coordination with hotel management.
Financial oversight is a key part of the role, including monitoring project costs, validating invoices, tracking expenditures, and supporting cost control initiatives to ensure value-for-money delivery in alignment with agreed commercial objectives.
The Project Manager will also conduct on-site quality checks, manage snagging processes, and ensure compliance with brand standards, statutory requirements, and hotel policies. They will lead the practical handover of completed projects, including documentation, training, and embedding improvements into daily operations.
Finally, the Project Manager will provide final project reviews, capture lessons learned, and make recommendations for future projects, ensuring continuous improvement in project delivery and operational efficiency.
