We are seeking a Reablement Supervisory Manager to play a key leadership role within the Vale Community Resource Service (VCRS).

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to influence service delivery, support workforce development, and ensure compliance within a regulated social care environment.

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Reablement Supervisors, providing coaching, guidance and performance management.
  • Deputise for the Reablement Team Manager and provide leadership across the service when required.
  • Oversee staff supervision, appraisals, training compliance and professional development.
  • Manage rotas, workloads and staffing resources to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Work alongside the Quality and Compliance Manager to maintain regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with health professionals, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless support for citizens.

  • Lead, develop and support teams to deliver the best possible service through effective leadership, mentoring and professional support.
  • Ensure high‑quality services that meet the requirements of Care Inspectorate Wales and Social Care Wales.

  • Drive continuous improvement through quality monitoring, audits and the sharing of best practice.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with colleagues across health, social care and community services.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate and organised leader who can inspire others while maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance.

  • A minimum of two years’ management experience within a social care setting.
  • Experience of managing workloads, rotas, service delivery and staff performance.
  • Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies and health professionals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
  • Knowledge of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales and the required Health and Social Care qualifications.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel across the Vale of Glamorgan as required (car user).
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to equality, Welsh language standards and continuous development.
  • Ability to contribute to training and staff development.
