Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical) — Swansea Area — £36,000 to £38,000

You will join a long established heavy manufacturing environment as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter within the mixing department. This is a hands on role supporting a smooth succession process as the current fitter approaches retirement. The position is ideal for someone confident working with industrial machinery and the mechanical systems found in heavy industry.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring mechanical reliability and keeping production running safely and efficiently. The environment involves a variety of large scale equipment, making it a great fit for someone with experience in heavy, metals or melting industries.

• Mechanical fitting, servicing and repair across plant equipment
• Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and mechanical assemblies
• Supporting planned and reactive maintenance tasks
• Fault finding to minimise downtime
• Maintaining safe working practices and contributing to continuous improvement

• Background as a mechanical fitter within manufacturing
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of motors, couplings and industrial mechanical systems
• Experience in heavy industry such as metals, melting or foundry settings
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and problem solving mindset
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices

• Salary of £36,000 to £38,000 depending on experience
• Shift premium applied on top of base salary
