Senior Pensions Data Technician — Remote Role — Permanent | Full-Time

Base pay range:
Up to £45,000 + bonus. This range is provided by Lorien. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

About the Role

A tier 1 Professional services client is looking for a Senior Pensions Data Technician to join a growing Scheme Events team, where you’ll lead on complex data projects, support cyclical activities, and ensure scheme events are delivered to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with technical pensions expertise and strong Excel skills who enjoys variety and is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of assigned projects and scheme events.
  • Collaborate with Scheme Events Leads and Managers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Review and support the work of Pensions Data Technicians.
  • Build relationships with internal teams and clients.
  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality frameworks.
  • Perform bulk data analysis, calculations, and reporting using Excel and internal systems.
  • Create audit trails and test communications and calculations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience with Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
  • Technical pensions calculations and bulk data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel: filters, pivot tables, lookups, IF/nested IF statements, date calculations, data validation, and importing files.
  • Experience with pension administration systems.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • A-level Maths or equivalent experience in complex data analysis.
