A role where you'll make a difference:
With a two‑person HSE function, you'll be the visible voice of health, safety and environment for the whole site. You will have the opportunity to turn ideas into improvements.

Drive smarter reporting:
You'll simplify reporting processes, introduce automation where it adds value, and free up time for more meaningful analysis.

Monday to Thursday, 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with a 4 p.m. finish on Friday. Flexibility required.

Working alongside the HSE Manager, you'll keep the site's safety and environmental systems running well. The split is roughly 60% health and safety, 40% environment.

• Carry out site audits, safety tours, inspections and behavioural safety conversations out on the plant.
• Manage environmental compliance, including permits, waste management, packaging regulations, and the Climate Change Agreement.
• Look after ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements, from audits and documentation to accreditation.
• Support Process Safety Management tasks, including risk assessments, MOC, PSI reviews, PSSR, and PHA work.
• Develop and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training to groups on‑site.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and compile the monthly safety metrics.

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent), with a working grasp of risk assessment, COSHH, permit‑to‑work and safe systems of work.
• Hands‑on experience in an SH&E, HSE or health and safety officer role, within manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Practical experience of audits, inspections and behavioural safety, plus working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
