Shop Assistant

Responsibilities

• Always look for ways to improve how we do things and make as many suggestions as you wish.
• Put the safety of your team and customers first at all times.
• Handle new and existing stock with care, quickly but safely placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for our customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.
• Ensure that the display freezers and shelves are well stocked, taking stock from the walk-in-freezer and shelves in the back of the shop.

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• To be comfortable working with animals who visit our shop.
• To be willing to learn. We are always improving how we do things.
• To be comfortable with the belief that our customers are actually always right. They dont need to buy from Wild Tails. They can buy from someone else. So if something could have been done better, it is up to us to put it right.
• To be able to safely lift and carry up to 10kg of (often frozen) food.
• To enjoy being busy as there is always something to do. Youll jump from putting out stock, to packing up deliveries, completing important cleaning and stock rotation routines and more! Therefore you will need to be able to prioritise and do the important things first.
• To be reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team. Your colleagues and customers will depend upon you to do your best on each shift.
• A bit of flexibility when it comes to your working hours and days. Your commitments outside of work will always be taken into consideration when planning your hours.
