Preloved Item Detective & Authenticator; Volunteer

Responsibilities

• Examining donated items (e.g., clothing, accessories, collectibles, artwork, electronics) to assess authenticity
• Researching brands, provenance, and market prices using online sources such as eBay
• Accurately pricing items in line with current second‑hand market trends
• Identifying rare, high‑value, or specialist items for separate sale or escalation
• Working closely with the shop team to optimise stock rotation and display

• A chance to use your detective skills to seek out the rare from the replicas
• The satisfaction of improving the income in your local shop
• A chance to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team
