Clayton & Company is a leading interior design business in the South West region, servicing the whole of the UK. We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a lively and creative team designing and installing stunning interiors for Show Homes, Hotels and Private Clients.
Clayton and Company, established in 1979, employs around 50 people, including creative designers, makers and installers. Role DescriptionThe BDM role covers the whole Client journey from identifying new opportunities through to nurturing and valuing established accounts, with development and maintenance of strong working relationships being a key part.
ResponsibilitiesThe BDM role plays a part in:
- Researching and identifying business opportunities
- Presenting to prospective clients and earning their trust
- Client Account Management to ensure best service
- Maintaining strong and close relationships with new and existing Clients
- Working closely with Designers and Project Managers to deliver the Client’s brief
- Ensuring Client satisfaction throughout their projects
- Maintaining records of all customer related activity
- Communicating effectively with Clients before, during and after projects
You will be a great communicator, confident, organised, outgoing, literate and numerate. You will have an interest in interior design and ideally experience of working in at least one of our sectors. Demonstrable skills for a BDM role is a must-have. Some background in four or five star hotel project delivery would be of particular value. A clean driving licence too, since the work involves travelling to Clients (day trips) and a car is available.
