We're scaling fast and we need high-performance appointment setters to put qualified meetings on the calendar. You won't be hunting for leads — we provide them. Your job is to turn them into conversations.
The RoleThis is a phone-first, results-driven role. You'll be calling UK businesses — speaking directly with CTOs, Heads of Engineering, and senior decision-makers — generating interest in Octogle Hire and booking qualified discovery calls for our senior team to close.
Your success is measured by one thing: qualified meetings booked. We handle everything else.
What You'll Be Doing Outbound Calling- Execute 100–200 dials per day from warm, pre-qualified lead lists we provide
- Reach decision-makers directly — no prospecting required
- Open conversations using proven scripts and call frameworks (full training provided)
- Qualify leads based on hiring intent, urgency, and fit
- Book discovery calls directly into the sales team's calendar
- Ensure every booking is a genuine, qualified opportunity — quality over quantity
- Log all activity accurately and in real time
- Maintain clean lead records and track daily pipeline
- Report call outcomes, conversion rates, and booking stats
- Direct Approach — Clear, confident pitch on why Octogle Hire gives companies an edge in engineering hiring
- Candidate-Led Approach — Open with a relevant talent profile that matches their likely hiring needs
- Insight Approach — Share market context on the UK engineering talent shortage to create urgency
Full scripts, objection handling frameworks, and onboarding training provided from day one.
What We're Looking For- Proven experience in cold calling or outbound telesales — B2B preferred
- Comfortable with high volume and high rejection — resilience is non-negotiable
- Excellent spoken English — you'll be speaking with senior UK decision-makers
- Organised and accountable — no lead gets dropped, no booking goes unlogged
- Hungry — the earning potential here is real, but only for people who show up and dial
Base + commission structure with monthly earnings of £2,500–£5,000 based on qualified bookings confirmed by the sales team.
Top performers in month one regularly hit the upper end. This isn't a capped role — output drives income.
Payment is tied to confirmed qualified meetings. We define qualified clearly so there's no ambiguity.
Working HoursMonday to Friday | 09:00–17:00 UK time | Fully Remote
