The Ruminant Feed Sales Consultant role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to make a real impact within a highly respected and growing business. Covering Mid Wales and Shropshire you will take ownership of a relatively untapped territory, bringing fresh energy and ideas to drive growth and unlock new opportunities. Leveraging your existing sales expertise and industry knowledge, you will expand the customer base through expert nutritional guidance, tailored solutions, and strong, long-lasting relationships with farmers.

Your ability to connect with customers and identify their needs will be key as you deliver tailored solutions and on-farm technical advice. Role Responsibilities:

  • Foster long‑term relationships with existing and potential customers by providing exceptional service and tailored nutritional solutions to support and optimise performance
  • Conduct regular farm visits, identify sales opportunities, and actively generate leads to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of products and solutions, effectively communicating their value to customers
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and provide regular reports on sales progress and opportunities
  • Collaborate across the business to drive performance and ensure that overall business needs are met
  • Promote the business through attendance at local industry events, markets, shows, and discussion groups

Skills you will need:

  • Ideally, you have proven sales experience in the ruminant feed sector or related agricultural sales
  • A good understanding of ruminant production systems and rationing
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • A relationship builder, able to forge and cultivate long‑lasting relationships fluidly
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a focus on achieving results
  • A team collaborator with the ability to work autonomously when required
  • Driven and passionate about the industry
  • UK driving licence and the willingness to travel daily
  • Welsh speaking

Remuneration: A competitive salary, commission structure and company vehicle, commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience.
