AboutThe Role Pay Details
Grade 8, SCP 26 – 30 £ 36,124 - £39,523 p.a. / Grade 9, SCP 31 – 35 £ 40,476 - £44,711 p.a. (pro rata for Part Time). Salary on appointment will depend upon qualification and experience as determined by the appointing officer. There is no automatic progression from Grade 8 to Grade 9.

About You You will need:- A recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work i.e. Degree, DipSW, CQSW etc.
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Experience of Social Work with children, young people and their families / carers.
- Experience of multi‑agency working
- Knowledge of the principles of the Children Act, Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act, guidance and national standards.
Our Fourteen Plus Team support young people aged 14 and over who are looked after by the Local Authority, young people who are homeless aged between 16 and 17 years, all care leavers up to the age of 25 years and all Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. The Team’s commitment to engagement is promoting the increasing involvement of young people not only in their own lives but in improving services for others.
In each of the teams, workers are able to be kind, consistent and focussed in their work with children, young people and their families / carers. Managers are readily available and staff wellbeing is a priority.
