About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 6 SCP 14 - 19 £ 29,540 - £32,061
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
Main Place of Work:
Barry with travel across the Vale of Glamorgan
Temporary Reason:
Fixed Term Position
As a Disability Employment & Engagement Mentor, you will support individuals with disabilities to access volunteering, work placements, training and paid employment. You will manage a caseload, provide mentoring and in-work support, build relationships with employers and partners, and help participants achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
About You
You will need:
You will be enthusiastic, compassionate and person-centred, with the ability to motivate and support individuals facing barriers to employment. You will be confident working with employers, families, support services and partner organisations to deliver positive outcomes.
Experience supporting individuals into employment, training or volunteering
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of partnership working and employer engagement
- Good Microsoft 365 and digital skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and performance data
- Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, equality and inclusion
- Flexibility to travel and occasionally work evenings and weekends
