Class 1 Driver

Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Newport and Barry . Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for flexible, ongoing work with a leading palletised freight distribution operation. Our customer is one of Europe's largest palletised freight networks, providing fast, reliable pallet distribution services throughout the UK and Europe.

Working with an extensive network of transport partners, they handle millions of pallet movements each year, supporting businesses across a wide range of industries with time-critical logistics solutions. Drivers will complete trunking runs using modern curtain-side and double-Decker trailers , transporting palletised freight between depots and distribution hubs. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with day shifts typically starting at 05:00 and night shifts at 19:30 , averaging around 10 hours per shift.

Although work is offered on an ad hoc basis, drivers who demonstrate reliability and professionalism are regularly re-booked for future shifts. Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:
Day shifts are starts between 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs Night shifts are starts between 18:00hrs and 06:00hrs Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.50ph ( holiday accrued) or £19.61ph (with holiday pay rolled up) Monday to Friday (Nights) = £18.50ph ( holiday accrued) or £20.73ph (with holiday pay rolled up) Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays (days or nights) = £20.00ph ( holiday accrued) or £22.41 (with holiday pay rolled up) Why Drivers Choose Pure Staff We believe drivers deserve honest PAYE employment without confusing pay arrangements.
