An Athletics Driver performs the task of safely transporting students, faculty, staff and school representatives to and from school functions/events.
Responsibilities- Operate the assigned District Vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including BCC Driver Policy
- Perform pre-trip safety checks
- Maintain order within van while driving
- Work in conjunction with coach/teacher/supervising staff member to verify passenger attendance to and from each destination
- Ensure passengers are aware of rules and responsibilities
- Be on time to and from events, transporting on schedule
- Clean out vehicle and ensure it is safely and securely stored
- Advise coach/teacher/supervising staff member of any necessary maintenance or repairs
- Maintain vehicle logs as required
- Act quickly and exercise independent, mature judgment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma
- Possess a Class C Driver's License
- Possess a Clean Driving Record
- Preferred:
Possess a Commercial Driver License, Class B with P endorsement
This position is a Short-Term Project working up to a max of 30 hours per week.
