The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the school year, to fill the following Full‑time Term Position based out of Sally Ross School in Hall Lake, SK:
Cree Language Teacher
.
- Bachelor of Education degree.
- A Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate or Provisional Professional “A” Teaching Certificate
- Must be fluent in Woodland Cree (required).
- Cree Language training is an asset
- Strong background in the culture and traditions of the Woodland Cree.
- Experience with “land based” education activities
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach students of varying abilities.
- Cross – Cultural experience is an asset.
- Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
