Finance Manager Manufacturing; Plant Controller

A high-tech manufacturing plant, part of a billion-dollar global company and a world leader in its product lines, is seeking a Finance Manager/Plant Controller to own financial budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting for the facility. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive strategic decisions, improve financial visibility, and strengthen plant performance and profitability.

• Manage all financial matters for the plant and serve as the primary owner of financial budgeting and ongoing financial forecasts
• Partner with the Plant Manager to drive strategic plant decisions, identify issues, and improve plant performance and profitability
• Increase financial visibility and lead local cost-reduction initiatives
• Ensure timely execution of financial reporting
• Manage the accounting system and ensure timely, accurate collection and reporting of cost-related financial information
• Perform timely and accurate manufacturing cost variance analysis
• Interface with plant management and staff on cost control measures and implementation of cost reductions
• Lead and assist in the budget planning and forecasting process in accordance with corporate guidelines
• Lead the facility's annual update of standard costs in accordance with corporate guidelines
• Ensure inventory balances are properly stated in accordance with US GAAP and corporate guidelines
• Review bills of materials (BOM) for accuracy to ensure they represent the actual product produced
• Evaluate investment projects submitted by plant leadership to ensure accuracy and that returns meet corporate guidelines
• Supervise one cost accountant

• Experience as a Finance Manager/Plant Controller or Accounting Manager
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, with the ability to supervise a cost accountant
• Experience in financial budgeting and financial forecasts
