American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week critical care assignment requiring a compact or OK RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

• Work in an 8-bed Critical Care-ICU unit serving adult medical, pulmonary, and cardiac intensive care patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2
• Unit supported by PCTs on dayshift and a monitor tech for 24/7 monitoring
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15

• Active RN license (Compact or OK state license) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Current license and primary source verification via Nursys required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans in accordance with established policies and protocols
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress critical care environment
• Follow standard precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Local candidates accepted, though radius rules may apply to pay rate eligibility
