** Prep Cook position
** at our
** Howe, OK
** location.
** join our growing team.
*** Prepares daily food items and ingredients for service
* Sets up and stocks the kitchen with all items needed for the day
* Prepares and cooks food orders accurately, following recipes, presentation standards, and any special instructions
* Assists with preparing food items for daily specials
* Restocks ingredients and supplies throughout the day and at the end of each shift
* Receives, stocks, rotates, and organizes inventory and freight
* Maintains a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and work area
* Cleans grills, cooking equipment, and food preparation areas at the end of each shift
* Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and assists with general kitchen cleaning
* Assists with inventory counts as needed
* Supports team members and performs additional duties as assigned
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1-2+ years of restaurant, food service, or related experience preferred
* Food handling knowledge and basic cooking skills
* Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety standards
* Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight frequently
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time
* Sense of urgency and willingness to assist team members as needed
* Results-oriented with the ability to serve customers with humility and be a steward of Nation's Best's values
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
