Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service

Primary Responsibilities- Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely.
- Accurately record customers’ orders and requests for cakes and other bakery items.
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using an electronic cash register, scanner, and scale.
- Review the perishable department communication board daily for updated materials and follow guideline postings for the sampling program.
- Ice and decorate cakes and pastries to company specifications.
- Record “out‑of‑stock” conditions and report them to the department manager.
- Fill and stock display cases and tables throughout the store, including donut, cookie, and cake cases, as well as cooler/freezer areas.
- Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Prior experience with ovens, convection ovens, mixers, fryers, bread slicers, stoves, wrappers, scales, and cleaning materials.
- Lift, twist, move, and carry a maximum of 50 lbs. from the floor to shelving or overhead racks.
- Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas.
- Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations.
- Accurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers.
- Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions promptly and politely.
- Use the store phone and intercom systems properly.
- Supervise and perform temperature checks of cases and coolers four times daily, recording each check.
Inside work with transitions of heat, cold, humidity, and dust from backdoor compressors and preparation areas. Employees must comply with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities, duties, and qualifications may vary within reason.
