Manufacturing Engineer is accountable/responsible for process development to ensure the optimization of quality, cost, and on-time delivery of products. This role represents the EMS Brand to the Customer and requires effective communication, acting as a liaison between the Customer and Operations. Strong Technical expertise and Collaboration with cross-functional teams are critical elements of this role.
Responsibilities- Execute Design Review with Customers to ensure Design for Manufacturability is incorporated into Product Development Projects.
- Accountable to Develop the Manufacturing Process to ensure the Voice of the Customer (specifications/requirements) is achieved through process flow (router), manufacturing drawings & models.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Quality and Operations to determine the Process Development timeline and set EMS commitments to the Customer.
- Collaborate with Engineering Technicians and Operations to develop CNC processes while assuring manufacturing intent, efficiency and cost.
- Manage Engineering changes, both Customer and Internal, through impact assessment to process, quality and timeline.
- Involved in Capital Purchases that enhance EMS technical capabilities and/or efficiency.
- Assist with Customer Process Qualification and Validation requirements
- Ensure process is successful through quality, time and cost expectations prior to handing over to Operations.
- Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
- Perform Other Duties as assigned.
