General Responsibilities include field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Communicate with project stakeholders regarding site requirements, testing, observation, and results. Transport material samples to the laboratory for testing, prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports, and maintain equipment and work areas. Adhere to strict safety standards.
Responsibilities- Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
- Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy in preparation for submittal.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
- Be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
- Maintain assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months experience required
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
- Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire
