Pay Information:Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. External Hires:
This position starts at $51.36 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician’s referral. Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate.
Essential functions include but are not limited to supporting Bartlett Regional Hospital’s strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics. Follows professional standards of APTA. Provides services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital’s operations. Consistently maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other information, which might jeopardize the privacy of others.
Works as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals.
Education: Graduate of an APTA approved School of Physical Therapy with a Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree. Completes annual educational requirements.
Preferred Experience: One (1) year of Physical Therapist experience. Experience working with diverse populations including inpatient CCU, acute, and rehab as well as outpatient services, including pediatrics.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Physical Therapist License. Valid Driver's License required if assigned to Home Care Services.
Certification(s): Current auto liability insurance and reliable transportation is required if assigned to Home Care Services.
