• Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.
• Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and maintain ADC cleanliness; destock expired meds from ADC.
• Check medication rooms and patient bins for discontinued or expired meds and return them to pharmacy.
• Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain appropriate records.
• Stock medications into pharmacy inventory, including sterile compounding areas.
• Assist in performing various duties as assigned.
• Provide assistance in dispensing functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including purchasing, inventory control, sterile product preparation, equipment maintenance, and automated dispensing cabinet equipment and inventory maintenance.

• Required:
  • Education:
    
    High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certifications:
    
    Registered Pharmacy Technician license/certification, as required by state law.
• Preferred:
  • Experience:
    
    Hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV admixture certification.
