Weekend Shift - CNC Machinist II

CNC Machinist II will operate and perform simple setups on CNC equipment (i.e., Mills, Lathes, Swiss, EDM, Mill/Turn) to manufacture medical components from raw materials.

• Sets up machines to run correctly and consistently.
• Operates at least 2 machines effectively.
• Solve machining issues common in a machining environment.
• Inspect product per the inspection plans. Deburr parts, if needed.
• Participate in ongoing process improvements.
• Report any non‑conforming parts to Supervisor.
• Closely monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance features, make any necessary adjustments.
• Maintain machining area for cleanliness and minor preventive maintenance (i.e., Coolant levels).
• Record production through Job Boss system.
• Check to ensure all documentation (routers, inspection sheets, scrap tickets, etc.) is filled in correctly and completely following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Take pride in your workmanship and make it your goal to produce a quality product every time.
• Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) plus Machining Certification with 3+ years of CNC experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid knowledge of machining techniques on the equipment assigned.
• Be familiar with material types and general properties of materials related to assignments.
• Must have a working knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
• Able to read and interpret blueprint drawings and features.
• Be able to read and understand the Router.
• Understand the Data Collection System.
• Have an understanding of relevant Safety requirements.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
• Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties.
