Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Groundskeeper to join our Facilities Management team!

Position starts at $26.28 per hour.

Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.

External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.

Under direction, independently performs a variety of skilled tasks in connection with the maintenance and gardening of hospital grounds including related light maintenance work and winter snow removal. Must be a self-starter able to work independently from written or oral instructions without direct supervision. Required to work after normal hours, weekends and holidays to meet seasonal job demand. Works outside during inclement weather (rain, ice/snow) as directed.

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Two (2) years of experience in grounds maintenance and/or gardening which included maintenance of a variety of plants, trees and flowers.
• Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

• All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to start of employment.
