Pay Information:Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
- Security Officer 1 starts at $23.52 per hour.
- Security Officer 2 starts at $24.69 per hour.
Security Officer 1:
The Security Officer 1 is responsible for monitoring hospital surveillance systems to help ensure the safety of patients, staff, and property. Under close supervision, the offer participates in training to develop the knowledge and skills required for on-site patrols and emergency response.
Security Officer 2:
The Security Officer 2 is responsible for patrolling hospital grounds, buildings, and parking areas to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. This role is responsible for responding to security incidents, disturbances, and requests for assistance, using sound judgment and established protocols.
Security Officer 1:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: Six (6) Months’ relevant experience
- Preferred Experience: Previous security function preferred
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
- License(s): None
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One (1) year relevant experience or six (6) months as a Security Officer 1.
- Preferred Experience: Previous security function preferred
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
- License(s): None
