Overview

Due to the company’s rapid growth and expansion plans, we are seeking skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to support the technical team on various shifts. The primary role of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain the machinery based on preventative and predictive maintenance concepts, to assist in project work and any continuous improvement related tasks.

Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (FMCG / Engineering)

Monday to Friday, various shift patterns (Days only).

Permanent Position.

Salary: £30k starting level, structured up to £34k + £2k annual bonus + overtime + shift allowances.

Benefits include 33 days annual leave, transparent and attractive additional earning potential and a generous pension scheme.

This role will suit a time‑served Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who has spent most of their career within the manufacturing or engineering industry looking to take on a permanent position if desired.

Responsibilities
  • Working on woodworking machinery, CNC machines, LEV systems and plant equipment (i.e., rotating machinery).
  • Mechanical maintenance on engineering equipment.
  • Assist in project work and any continuous improvement related tasks.
Qualifications
  • Apprentice trained and/or NVQ level 3.
  • Experience on industrial machinery (e.g., milling machines, woodworking machinery).
  • Mechanically biased individual.
