This is an exciting opportunity for a six-month residential volunteering placement with the opportunity of paid roles to support your voluntary time with us.

This seasonal placement is suitable for someone looking to begin a career in environmental conservation. The role involves assisting the Reserves team in managing the Wildlife Trust’s North Lincolnshire reserves including practical habitat management of grassland, wetland, heathland and peatland sites, access maintenance and working with livestock.

  • Accommodation is provided on site in a self‑contained apartment at the Far Ings NNR Visitor Centre
  • In‑house training, first aid qualification and a wide range of experience in the environmental sector
  • In addition to the volunteering commitment, two paid roles are available to provide financial support for your volunteering; as Centre Cleaner (up to 9 hours a week) and Visitor Centre Weekend Duty Staff Member (Sundays, 7 hours)

Around 28 hours a week

Duration

Six months (October 2026 to March 2027)
