Overview
Under the direction of a health care provider, the Clinical Nurse RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well‑being of our patients.
Qualifications- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Education:
H.S. Diploma/GED
- Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information and preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in the clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned duties.
- Collect blood and other samples; prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) within licensure guidelines.
- Conduct telephone triage, document advice for home care of illness/conditions, and perform follow‑up calls.
- Administer vaccines and medications via oral, IM, SQ, or s.
- Place urinary catheters and IV lines per protocol and license.
- Schedule referrals and complete necessary forms or requisitions with appropriate CPT/ICD coding.
- Maintain compliance with precertification, CLIA, OSHA, safety, and risk‑management guidelines.
- Track follow‑up appointments for office visits, lab tests, and procedures.
- Provide updated documentation in the electronic health record using standardized workflows.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold all relevant policies and procedures.
- Educate patients and families using the Teach‑back method per protocols and guidelines.
