Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong structural concrete background to prepare detailed estimates for medium-sized projects and for individual disciplines within larger, complex heavy civil and industrial projects.
This role develops complete estimates, performs quantity takeoffs, determines construction methods, evaluates labor and equipment requirements, and coordinates supplier and subcontractor pricing. The ideal candidate has hands-on estimating experience with structural concrete, including foundations, slabs, walls, reinforcing steel, formwork, and other complex concrete scopes.
The Estimator works closely with owners, engineers, operations, project management, and other estimating professionals, from initial bid development through project handoff.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, drawings, geotechnical information, and proposal documents to determine project scope and estimate requirements.

- Organize and participate in internal bid reviews and adjudication meetings.
- Identify cost risks, constructability concerns, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Participate in project handoff and transition meetings with Project Management and Operations.
- Maintain detailed estimating documentation, quotations, takeoffs, and supporting cost information.
- Support awarded projects with budget development, change-order estimating, and cost analysis as required.
- Collaborate with estimators, schedulers, project managers, engineers, and field personnel throughout the estimating process.
- 4+ years of estimating, project controls, engineering, or related construction experience.
- Strong experience estimating structural concrete construction.
- Strong understanding of structural concrete means and methods, formwork systems, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, production rates, equipment, and labor requirements.
- Ability to independently estimate small to medium-sized projects or major concrete scopes within large, complex projects.
- Ability to accurately calculate quantities, including area, volume, length, weight, and material requirements.
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience developing detailed quantity takeoffs and complete cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, scheduling, and constructability.
