Patient Care Technician

Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Certification required: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
• 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
• Completion of a Bay Care approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program – minimum 40 hours hands‑on patient care experience outside of a lab setting

Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion.
