Responsibilities- Retrieve medical charts for healthcare staff and clinicians as requested.
- File all in‑use medical records daily and ensure the security of active and inactive records.
- Ensure charts are counter‑signed by physicians and reviewed for completeness.
- Release medical information under the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director, or Health Services Administrator.
- Answer telephones, take messages, and make necessary calls.
- Type letters, reports, and memorandums.
- Maintain a roster or appointment book for on‑site and off‑site patient appointments.
- Order, receive, and maintain office supplies as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support healthcare operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical records management.
- Familiarity with the Problem‑Oriented Medical Record (SOAP) system is essential.
- Successful completion of a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
