Network Support Technician III / Transportation Support / Office of Information Technology

This position will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the District's network and server environments, including virtualized and storage systems, directly supporting uninterrupted access to the technology services Department staff rely on every day.

Annual Salary Range:

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Designs, configures network devices, and implements changes to the network infrastructure. Enforces system standards. Monitors network performance and adjusts network equipment as necessary toprovide optimum performance. Troubleshoots network problems and outages, schedules upgrades, andcollaborates with network engineers for network optimization.

Performs advanced troubleshooting to determine cause of problem. Works with staff on issues outside their areas of responsibility as needed.

Performs provisioning, administration, and maintenance, including support for any Storage Area Network (SAN) or Azure-stack Hyperconverged Cluster Infrastructure (AZHCI), plans for growth, assesses and monitors these environments, creating and extending volumes and drives for Virtual Machines as needed. Provisions and configures drive arrays, manages security for these environments so only those with authorization may access them.
