HCM™ is looking for a Welder - Fabricator
, responsible for the fabrication, welding, and assembly of metal structures and components based on blueprints and instructions provided. This role does not carry leadership responsibilities but is critical to producing high‑quality, consistent work that supports the company’s operational needs and project timelines. • Weld and fabricate metal components using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding methods.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
• Cut, grind, and prepare materials for assembly and welding.
• Operate hand and power tools, welders, and related equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed work for quality, alignment, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Support team efforts by collaborating with other welders, fitters, and supervisors on assigned projects.

This position requires frequent standing, bending, and use of hands and wrists to operate tools and welding equipment. Occasionally required to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs. and work in varied postures throughout the shift.

Work is performed in an industrial, open‑air environment and occasionally outdoors. The role is exposed to noise, heat, and physical hazards common to a fabrication shop. Hearing protection, safety gear, and adherence to safety protocols are required at all times. Operation of cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment may be involved.

• Standard 2nd shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, with occasional optional overtime on Friday or Saturday depending on workload.
• Includes an hourly 2nd shift differential in addition to base pay.
• New hires will complete initial training on 1st shift (6:00 am–4:30 pm) before moving to 2nd shift.
• The facility maintains a minimum of two welders per shift for safety.

• 2–4+ years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Proficient in using standard welding and fabrication tools.
• Must pass pre‑employment welding test.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification in welding preferred.

• $24–30 per hour depending on experience, plus 2nd shift differential.
