Clean Harbors in Bartow, FL is seeking a Field Service Foreperson to supervise Field Technicians and manage emergency response, site remediation, and hazardous material cleanup projects.
Base Pay Range$14.00/hr - $39.00/hr
Responsibilities- Lead health and safety initiatives by following company policies and industry regulations.
- Train, mentor, and supervise Field Service Technicians on technical tasks and safety practices.
- Execute projects within budget and on time while managing resources and equipment.
- Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards on all job sites.
- Collaborate with the Coordination team to allocate manpower, equipment, and materials for field service and emergency response projects.
- Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects as directed.
- Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and moving heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, face, hand, foot, and skin protection in appropriate combinations.
- Work in varying temperatures, weather conditions, and confined spaces with potential chemical exposure.
- Work at elevations including ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
- Assist in field sampling activities and calibrate meters.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and containers; perform safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary.
- Complete associated paperwork, worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and permits.
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and company operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including being on call for emergency response every other week.
- Previous experience in a physically intensive role.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, crew lead, or leadership role.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time, overnight.
- Ability to be on-call for emergency response.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical assessment.
- Meet facial hair standards for respirator use per OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.34.
- Previous heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc).
- Previous environmental and/or industrial experience (site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery work).
- Commercial driver license.
