Overview
Performs intermediate skilled work on a variety of construction, maintenance and repair projects. Operates specialized equipment in connection with task. Does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.
Responsibilities- Responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure the proper functioning and safety of a facility.
- Performs minor repairs like painting, drywall patching, and fixing doors while identifying issues requiring specialized technicians when necessary.
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, including repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building and infrastructure systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities and amenities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Be familiar with safety protocols and regulations to avoid hazards and injuries.
High school diploma or equivalent; entry level position, no experience required; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities and other competencies necessary for the position.
Licenses, Certifications,Special Requirements
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess an aptitude and willingness to learn.
- On-the-job training is offered.

Essential Physical Skills- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
