Accounting Specialist

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll help ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day financial operations while contributing to accurate financial reporting and the continuous digitalization and automation of finance processes, helping to improve efficiency, data quality, and the overall user experience.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll play an important role in accounts payable, general accounting, month-end closing activities, and finance projects in an international environment.

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review and process employee expense claims and payment requests.
• Prepare payment runs and perform bank postings and reconciliations.
• Maintain accounts payable subledgers and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including audits and VAT reporting.
• Contribute to ERP enhancements and finance process improvement initiatives.
• Provide support across the Finance team on additional accounting activities as required.

• Commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification with accounting experience.
• Further education or a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  German and/or French are an asset
• At least five years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within an international company.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners.
