Role DescriptionAs a member of the Ocean Destination Management team, the Destination Content & Data Coordinator supports the accurate maintenance, and governance of destination-related content and operational data across Viking’s content management systems.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all content and operational data are complete, consistent, up to date, and aligned across all internal platforms. Reporting into the Destination Content team and working closely with Destination Managers, the Coordinator helps safeguard data quality.
This role is based in our Operational Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and administer destination and shore excursion data across internal systems (including content management and operational platforms), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and brand alignment.
- Coordinate the creation, updating, and validation of destination content.
- Monitor data changes and version control, ensuring updates are correctly reflected across all relevant systems and materials.
- Assist in documenting data standards, content guidelines, and internal processes to support consistency and scalability.
- Support ad hoc data analysis, reporting, and audits related to destination programs, inventory, and guest information.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to managing complex information.
- Ability to work with multiple systems, datasets, and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- English as mother tongue or equivalent proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to follow up, flag inconsistencies, and propose improvements.
- High level of comfort working with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with content or data management systems is a strong plus.
- Interest in destinations, travel experiences, and delivering high-quality guest‑facing information.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, travel, digital business, or management of information systems and/or related field from an accredited college/university or the international equivalent preferred.
- Travel/ hospitality industry experience is a plus.
