We are an engineering recruitment agency partnering with a market-leading VIP aircraft MRO to support the launch of a brand-new EASA Part-147 Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) in Switzerland.
This is a rare greenfield opportunity to join the founding instructor team and play a key role in shaping a Part-147 training organisation from the ground up, delivering EASA Part-66 Basic Training for Category B1.1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics).
The RoleAs an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (Part-147), you will deliver theoretical and/or practical training while actively contributing to building a compliant, audit-ready training organisation aligned with EASA and FOCA/BAZL requirements.
Theoretical Instruction Responsibilities- Deliver EASA Part-66 module-based training for B1.1 and/or B2
- Develop and maintain lesson plans, course materials, exercises, and knowledge checks
- Support curriculum planning and module coverage
- Assist the Examination Manager in maintaining a compliant examination question database
- Ensure full compliance with EASA Part-66 / Part-147 and Swiss FOCA expectations
- Conduct supervised hands‑on training in workshop and hangar environments
- Coach trainees in tools, maintenance practices, safety standards, and workmanship
- Maintain accurate practical training records
- Promote a strong aviation safety culture
- Support creation of training processes, templates, and documentation
- Contribute to instructor competence records and MTO documentation
- Participate in internal readiness reviews and potential FOCA audits
- Act as a subject matter expert during organisational set‑up
- EASA Part‑66 License – Category B1 and/or B2 (both advantageous)
- Strong working knowledge of EASA Part‑66 and Part‑147 regulations
- Understanding of FOCA / BAZL oversight expectations in Switzerland
- Proven experience within an EASA Part‑145 environment (Line and/or Base Maintenance)
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
- Very good English (written and spoken);
German and/or French advantageous - Previous instructional experience within Part‑147, Part‑145 internal training, or vocational education preferred
- Experience as a Practical Assessor or competence evaluator desirable
- Familiarity with LMS systems or digital training/exam platforms beneficial
- Exposure to audits, compliance processes, or MTOE documentation advantageous
- 80,000 – 100,000 CHF per annum (paid over 13 months)
