Senior Engineer Building Automation; m​/f​/d

In this senior role, you will take technical ownership of building automation systems and support projects holistically from initial concept through commissioning.

• Independent engineering of building automation (BA) systems from the conceptual and planning phase through to detailed engineering in accordance with project requirements
• Development of automation and functional concepts serving as technical specifications for suppliers and system integrators
• Review, coordination, and quality assurance of BA specifications, system architectures, and engineering documentation (e.g. functional descriptions, schematics, interface definitions, test and acceptance documentation)
• Coordination of all BA-relevant interfaces with other engineering disciplines (HVAC, electrical, IT/OT, process) across all project phases
• Support and execution of commissioning activities as well as active participation in qualification activities in line with project and customer requirements
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer-specific requirements, and applicable Swiss standards and guidelines (e.g. SIA, SWKI, VKF)
• Technical guidance and professional support of junior engineers in the field of building automation

You combine solid technical expertise with hands‑on project experience and a strong understanding of complex system interactions:

• Degree (FH/ETH) or technician qualification (HF) in building automation, automation engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or a comparable discipline with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in engineering building automation systems in industrial projects; experience in GMP‑regulated environments is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of relevant Swiss standards and guidelines as well as applicable EN and ISO standards related to building automation
• Technical expertise in PLC, SCADA, and network technologies, as well as experience with building automation fieldbus systems such as KNX, BACnet, Modbus, and OPC (solid understanding of building automation concepts and system interfaces is key)
• Structured and independent working style with a high level of responsibility and strong interface awareness
• Strong team player with a clear focus on customer satisfaction and high‑quality project delivery
• Very good communication skills in both German and English
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland on a project basis
