About the OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of Environment, Health & Safety programmes within a highly regulated operational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional with a strong understanding of safety management systems, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams and management to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver EHS activities including training, audits, workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Support and maintain ISO 45001 Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies regarding EHS compliance matters.
- Monitor site EHS performance, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support incident investigations and emergency response activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to reduce operational risks.
- Develop and maintain EHS procedures, policies, and training materials.
- Coordinate EHS initiatives across departments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor changes in EHS legislation and advise on regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, reporting, and compliance programmes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent EHS qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an EHS role within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.
- Knowledge of Swiss, French, and EU EHS regulations.
- Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Strong understanding of risk management, auditing, incident investigation, and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to deliver EHS training and promote best practices across the organisation.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- English language proficiency at B2 level or above.
- CHF 51.30 per hour
- Fixed-term contract from 29th June to 29th December
