As part of the continued growth of our Finance team in the MDPI Poland office
, we are currently seeking a motivated Junior Financial Assistant to join our organization. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, international environment and play a key part in supporting our financial operations.
The Junior Financial Assistant supports the finance team in ensuring accurate processing, organization, and reporting of financial data and documentation. The role contributes to the smooth day-to-day financial operations of the company by assisting with payments, cost tracking, reporting activities, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external accounting partners.
This is a fully in-office role based in Kraków.

- Assist in collecting, verifying, and processing invoices and supporting documentation for payments.
- Prepare, maintain, and update financial records, spreadsheets, and cost reports based on bank statements.
- Support tracking and settlement of employee business trip expenses.
- Monitor payment statuses and follow up with vendors and clients when required.
- Prepare basic financial data, summaries, and reports to support internal financial reporting.
- Coordinate financial documentation and information flow with the external accounting service provider.
- Collaborate with the global controlling team to ensure accurate cost classification and reporting consistency.
- Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to the finance team.
- Contribute to the improvement and optimization of financial and reporting processes.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields (or in the process of obtaining one).
- Early-career profile, with up to two years of experience; any prior exposure to accounting or finance would be considered a plus.
- Experience working in an international or corporate environment would be an advantage.
- Strong command of English (B2/C1 level) and Polish (C1 level).
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365, particularly Excel (Intermediate level).
- Understanding of invoices and payment processes.
- Ability to work with financial data and maintain spreadsheets accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling data.
- Basic analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
- Organizational and time management skills with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
