We are now looking for an experienced Account Director to lead multiple global and national medical communications accounts. This is a highly client-facing role for an ambitious self-starter who enjoys shaping strategy, building trusted partnerships, and delivering high-quality, insight-driven medical communications.
The role combines strategic advisory, scientific content development, with commercial activities. In addition to leading integrated medical communications and patient engagement programmes, the Account Director will also help to generate new leads and develop pitch presentations. Key Responsibilities Client Partnership & Strategic Advisory- Lead the development and execution of research-based medical communications and engagement strategies
- Provide strategic guidance grounded in strong experience in publication planning, medical education, and scientific communications
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives, offering valuable insight and solutions
- Build long-term, trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for organic growth
- Provide a blend of high-level strategic guidance and active participation in project development.
- Lead the delivery of high-quality medical communications and patient-focused activities:
- Develop robust communication strategies by providing strategic input
- Formulate detailed project plans and tactical roadmaps
- Collaborate with senior team members, medical writer and creative teams to co-create content
- Manage client expectations by acting as both a strategic consultant and a reliable point of contact for day-to-day project milestones.
- Lead the delivery activities, including:
- Publication writing
- Strategic publication plans and gap analyses
- Medical information letters and Q&A documents
- Patient information and educational materials
- Patient insights generation and synthesis
- Support for patient advisory boards and patient engagement initiatives
- Advisory board and steering committee meetings
- Congress symposia planning and delivery
- Internal medical education and training materials
- Ensure all outputs are scientifically accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with compliance requirements and uploaded on Veeva
- Maintain oversight across multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders, working closely with internal teams and external partners
- Support the development of innovative, insight-driven service offerings
- Actively contribute to Infinity Communications’ reputation as a trusted, high-quality medical communications partner
- Extensive experience in medical communications in an agency setting
- Experience in leading new business efforts with successful outcomes
- Strong background in publication planning and delivery across the product lifecycle
- Experience leading patient-focused initiatives such as patient information, patient insights, or patient advisory boards
- Proven experience acting as a senior client partner on global accounts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high standards of quality and attention to detail
